NEWS FROM WINTERINGHAM METHODIST CHURCH
Thank you to everyone who collected the tokens from the Telegraph for 'Cash in the Community' for our Wednesday Group. We received £50 from the Telegraph.
Plans are now in hand for the Spring events and services. There was a coffee morning on 17th February to raise funds for the Chapel. This year the Mothering Sunday Service on Sunday 15th March will be a joint service at All Saints Church, Winteringham. This is not just a service for children and their mothers but for everyone.
There will be a service in the chapel on Good Friday, 3rd April at 6.30 pm and an Easter Sunday Service at 9am followed by an Easter Breakfast. Room for everyone in the Barn to enjoy a boiled egg and toast.
On 25th April the Elderberries Choir will be entertaining in the Chapel followed by refreshments in The Barn. Watch out for the posters and get your tickets early. Last time the Elderberries came it was a sellout.
The services in the chapel are at 10.30 am every Sunday. This is Family Service on the third Sunday of each month. Our preacher this month was Mr Laurie Holtby. The following Sunday Rev Henry Dubois assisted by his wife took a Sacrament Service.
During the bad weather our Young Peoples Friendship Group did not manage to meet every Wednesday but hopeful will now be able to enjoy their meetings each Wednesday. All young people, ages 4 to 16 years, (and their parents too if they wish to come along to enjoy a coffee and a chat) are invited to come along for an hour, 6pm to 7pm to enjoy stories, craft activities and videos.
You do not need to be a member of the chapel to enjoy this social hour or to join in with any of our events. We always offer a very warm welcome to everyone
