NEWS FROM WINTERINGHAM METHODIST CHURCH

There was a well attended service in the chapel on Good Friday, 3rd April, followed by a time of fellowship when hot drinks and hot cross buns were served.

On Easter Sunday the service was at 9am but this did not deter a large number of people from attending. Forty one people sat down for an Easter Breakfast which was served in the Barn and this was followed by an Easter Egg hunt in the grounds.  All of the children and a number of the adults got a chocolate egg.

On 25th April the Elderberries Choir will be entertaining in the Chapel followed by refreshments in The Barn.  Watch out for the posters and get your tickets early.  Last time the Elderberries came it was a sellout.

Usually there is a Family Service on the third Sunday of each month and in June this will be the last Family Service at Winteringham that Rev Ian Coates will be leading.

Some of the members from Winteringham will be reading at the Easter Offerings Service at Trinity Methodist Winterton on 26th April at 3pm.

The services in the chapel are normally at 10.30 am every Sunday. On 3rd May the Alkborough Ladies will lead the service.  Plans are already in hand for the Sponsored Walk in July and later in the year for the Harvest Celebrations and the Anniversary Service.

Our Young Peoples Friendship Group continue to enjoy their meetings every Wednesday and hopefully now the lighter nights are here some of these will be held outside Weather permitting).

All young people, ages 4 to 16 years, (and their parents too if they wish to come along to enjoy a coffee and a chat) are invited to come along for an hour, 6pm to 7pm to enjoy stories, craft activities and videos.

You do not need to be a member of the chapel to join in with any of our events. Just come along, we always offer a very warm welcome to everyone

The Barn is available for hire and the facilities are superb (including a disabled lift).  We have lots of groups who regularly meet in it as well as small private parties being held.  (Between 30/ 40 people seated is comfortable).  (Please contact Martyn or Christine Hammond on 01724 733641)
